Brother Danny J. Worthy began his musical career in 4th grade when he joined the percussion section of a rhythm band.  While in grammar school, Brother Worthy also learned the flute and clarinet.

He continued to play his primary instrument, the clarinet, through junior high school, and learned a new horn, the baritone. When he entered high school, Brother Worthy chose percussion as his primary instrumental section.

Continuing to play percussion through his university studies, Brother Worthy earned several awards including the Most Outstanding Bandsman Award, several certificates of merit, and ribbons of honor from the band program.

Brother Worthy passed away in October 2011, leaving a legacy of honor and service. We are forever grateful.
